Fractured Fairytale
WALT: recraft a traditional fairytale by changing characters, settings, main events and ideas but still making sure that the bone-structure of the fairytale can be recognized.
The Journey of a Bully.
A long time ago in a small town named Kaikohe. Kopani, Kyral, and Remus would always see Little Black Levi beating Manawanui up. Kyral and Kopani would try to stop Little Black Levi but they always ended up with black eyes. Then one day Kopani went up the street and saw Little Black Levi beating Manawanui up again. Kopani helps Manawanui by calling the police and reporting the hiding his friend got. Little Black Levi was unstoppable though. He smashes the phone into Kopani’s face and said that if he called the cops again, he’d hulk-smash his house down.
Later that week, Kopani and Remus went to the coffee shop to get some lunch. Little Black Levi was outside waiting for them. When Kopani and Remus came outside, Little Black Levi crept up behind Remus and took his wallet - which was full of his pay-day money. Remus ran and ran until he caught Little Black Levi, who had to hand back his wallet with all his money because Remus is a U.F.C fighter, no one messes with him, not even Little Black Levi.
That evening Kopani went up the road and saw Little Black Levi hiding up in a tree getting ready to jump out and attack him. Kopani ran down the street and went to his friend Manawanui’s house. Suddenly, we hear a BAM! BAM! BAM! on the door. Little Black Levi was out on a rampage looking for Kopani because he’d called the cops on him. Little Black Levi was so angry he didn’t care who he hurt.
Kopani took off out the back door and made a shortcut home by jumping fences, creeks and running through backyards. Manawanui thought Kopani was still in his house and would protect his friend as long as he could, no matter how scared he was. He attempted to block the door with furniture. Levi smashed the door in and tackled Manawanui out of the way,
“Kopani where are you! I know you're in here” he yelled.
Remus found Kopani shaking with fear. “What are you doing?”. After Kopani explains everything, he quickly says “You’ve got to face your fears. Stand up to this bully. Then he won’t bully you anymore”. Having decided to face this bully head on, Kopani went back to his friends house.
“Kopani!” Levi screams.
“Right here!” he says.
“Come here you little punk!” Levi screams.
“You need to check your anger. You need help Levi.” Kopani replies, dodging behind the couch.
“You called the pigs on me!” cried Little Black Levi.
“You smashed up Manawanui. You broke into his house. Your stealing. You’re out of control”.
Out of nowhere Little Black Levi starts crying, “I’ve got no one. No family. No friends. No home.”
“You can’t treat people like this,” Manawanui replies looking at his home.
“I am so sorry,” Little BlackLevi says.
“It’s ok,” replies Kopani
Just then the police arrive, “Is everything ok here? We’ve got a call about some sort of problem at this address.”
“Just a little misunderstanding officer. Everythings fine,” they reply.
...The End….
Wow Kopani this is an awesome piece of writing I really like how you came up with a conclusion to stop the bully. You are right sometimes it does help if you face your bully, because sometimes, the bully does not always know they are being a bully.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good writing.
